Who We Are

We are a group of undergraduate and graduate students who love to dance and have a fun time doing it! Meet our officers and instructors, see pictures from past years, and watch what we do as a team.

What We Do

Our team focuses on the development of beginner and intermediate skills, and we encourage each other to dance and perform in both social and competitive environments. We offer free* weekly beginner and intermediate technique classes in Standard and Latin. In addition, we encourage members to compete in ballroom competitions across Texas -- including at competitions designed just for college students -- and especially at Rice Ballroom Team's own 'Dances with Owls' competition! We also occasionally hold performances of our own or in conjunction with other dance groups on campus.

Our Location

Most practices and rehearsals take place in a multipurpose room in the Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation Center. See our calendar for details.
